Is the University of Texas at Arlington Headed to the WAC?

Is the Western Athletic Conference ready to add a fourth team to its conference? According to reports, they have an invitation to the University of Texas at Arlington not only for their basketball program. They were also wanting to put together a football program that could also compete in the WAC.

However, a source I spoke to close to UTA say there is no move to the WAC forthcoming

At this point, there's been no official release from the school or from the WAC itself but since the additions of Texas State and another University of Texas campus in San Antonio, it would make sense that the Arlington campus would also make the move in that direction.

If UTA does accept the invitation to jump to their new conference, it would be the fourth team the WAC has added since the departure of Boise State, Fresno State, Nevada and Hawaii.
