After the injury to Josh Hamilton on Tuesday afternoon, all anyone wanted to talk about was who the fourth outfielder was going to be. Certainly the team couldn't take their chances with just three outfielders, could they?
That question seems to have an answer to it. According to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News, the Texas Rangers are apparently close to signing Cuban outfielder, Leonys Martin, later today.
It is expected to be a Major League deal that will include a $15 million signing bonus. There's been no indication from the team nor an official announcement so we won't know when Martin will join the team.
